Resposta rápida
To edit a screenshot online, paste it into a browser editor such as Screenshot Studio, use the Design tab to add text, arrows, shapes, or blur, pick a background from the BG tab, and export a PNG, JPEG, or WebP. It is free, needs no signup, and adds no watermark.
Passo a passo
- 1
Open the editor and add your screenshot
Go to screenshot-studio.com/editor and paste with Cmd+V (Ctrl+V on Windows), drag the file onto the page, or click to browse. PNG, JPG, and WebP files up to 100MB work, and there is no account to create.
- 2
Mark it up
In the Design tab, open Draw & Markup to add arrows, curves, lines, rectangles, circles, or blur. Open Add Text for captions and labels in any of 32 fonts.
- 3
Give it a background
Switch to the BG tab and pick a gradient, mesh, wallpaper image, or solid color. Choose Transparent under Custom Background if you want only the screenshot.
- 4
Frame and style it
Use Style, Border, and Shadow for rounded corners and depth, or switch the top toggle from Image to Browser or Device to wrap the shot in a Safari, Chrome, iPhone, or MacBook frame.
- 5
Export or copy the result
Open Save in the top bar, pick PNG, JPEG, or WebP, choose 1x, 2x, or 3x resolution, and download. Copy puts a 2x PNG on your clipboard so you can paste it straight into Slack, Docs, or an email.
What you can change in a screenshot editor
A screenshot editor is built for one job: making a capture clear enough to share. That usually means pointing at something, hiding something, and making the whole image look intentional instead of cropped out of a busy desktop.
Screenshot Studio covers all three in one page. It works on the screenshot you already have, so there is nothing to install and nothing to capture again.
- Point: arrows, curved arrows, lines, rectangles, and circles in 12 preset colors or any custom color, with stroke widths from 1 to 24px.
- Explain: text layers with 32 fonts, weights from Thin to Black, sizes up to 150px, and an optional drop shadow.
- Hide: blur or mosaic any region, with a strength slider for each one.
- Present: gradients, wallpapers, shadows, rounded corners, browser frames, device mockups, and 3D tilt.
Pick the right export format
PNG keeps text and UI edges perfectly sharp and is the safe default for documentation and bug reports. JPEG is the editor's default because it makes much smaller files for social posts and slides. WebP is smaller again and works well on websites.
Resolution matters more than format for sharpness. Export at 2x for most uses, and 3x when the image will be shown large or printed.
Your work is saved as you go
The editor saves a draft in your browser about a second after each change, so a closed tab does not lose your edits. Cmd+Z and Cmd+Shift+Z (Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Y on Windows) undo and redo, and Start over resets the design while keeping your uploaded images.
